Great Impact
I have found that upon returning home from HJ, I do not have words to describe how much this program meant to me, which I believe only proves how meaningful it was. The staff has literally left me speechless, through their tireless work and dedication to campers and the program. I was amazed by everyone's positive attitudes and ability to gel as a team. I would not trade this experience for anything. It has greatly enhanced my world view and I know it will greatly impact the work I do, all in positive ways.

Taught me about the world
Working at Hero's Journey has taught me more about the world then I could have gotten elsewhere. It has changed my values and motives in life. It has provided a safe space for learning and growth with constructive feedback. It has introduced me to an amazing family of individuals whom I am so lucky to now know. It has given me a commitment to camp and all it has to offer. It was exactly what I needed in my life and I hope all of our lovely participants feel the same way. This program could benefit so many more people and I am excited to watch it grow.

Sense of purpose
I think for me working at Hero's Journey has re-instilled a sense of purpose in my life. It has taught me again to do the things that are outside of my comfort zone and be courageous. It has definitely put a lot of things into perspective and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I truly am grateful for this summer and this program.
