James H. Canton has had a relationship with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp since it began in 1988. During that time he has been a counselor, unit leader, assistant director and for eight years, camp director. He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in the Spring of 2002. Read more ›


Hilary Axtmayer »

Chief Program Officer

Hilary Axtmayer has been involved with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp since 2001. She worked as a counselor in the summer program for several summers before joining the year-round staff in 2006. Hilary was the Assistant Camp Director and most recently served as the Executive Camp Director for five years before becoming the Chief Program Officer in 2019. Read more ›

Chief Strategy Officer

Padraig Barry is the Chief Strategy Officer for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a role he has held since 2019. Prior to that, Padraig spent 5 years as Camp's Chief Program Officer. He has worked at the Support Center, SeriousFun Network serving in many capacities domestically and abroad, though his relationship with Camp and the network dates back nearly two decades. Chief Human Resources Officer

Char Curry has been an integral part of Camp’s finance and human resources teams since 1990, when she joined the organization as a part-time accountant. Today Char serves as Hole in the Wall’s chief human resource officer, where she maintains oversight of all employee matters. Read more ›


Kevin Magee »

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin M. Magee has successfully stewarded the finances of Camp since 1991. He is also a dedicated and regular volunteer counselor in Camp’s signature summer program. Read more ›


Ryan Thompson »

Chief Development and Communications Officer

Ryan Thompson began volunteering as a cabin counselor at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in the summer of 2009 and joined the staff in 2011. In his current role, Ryan oversees all Camp communications and development initiatives. Read more ›
