For teens who have experienced a serious illness, the Hero’s Journey program offers a 7-day wilderness-based experience designed to serve young adults aged 16-17. Participants learn self-reliance, positive communication, teamwork and leadership by facing individual and group challenges, experiencing rites of passage and becoming an on-call search and rescue team.
