Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to thousands of children with serious illnesses and their families annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn, in dozens of hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Position Description:
The Corporate Relations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's ambitious fundraising goals by cultivating and securing new corporate partnerships in the Mid-Atlantic, while also stewarding existing relationships. The role will work in a collaborative team environment and report to the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. This person will manage an active portfolio and will be responsible for developing new partnerships.
Our Corporate Relations Manager can expect to…
- Manage an active portfolio of 80+ corporate donors and prospects through all phases of the donor pipeline, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship and explores opportunities to expand current partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations and Associate Director of Foundation Relations to develop and execute an integrated strategy for expanding revenue in the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Research and identify prospects whose giving priorities align with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp's mission.
- Provide support to senior development and major gifts colleagues on foundation and corporate foundation donors and prospects, as needed.
- Build foundation and corporate foundation relationships and increase The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp's brand awareness throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
- In collaboration with the Director of Special Events, solicit corporate donors through online grant applications, as requested.
- Provide in-person support for corporate volunteer engagement opportunities(Helping Hands Work Days, HHWD).
- Plan and conduct site visits and tours with corporations and foundation representatives, as requested.
- Maintain accurate records on Raiser's Edge database and track action items for foundation and corporate foundation proposals.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Our Corporate Relations Manager should have...
- Three years of experience in managing corporate and foundation fundraising desired.
- The ability to establish positive relationships with a variety of people in multicultural environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proficiency in fundraising databases, such as The Raiser's Edge, for maximum effectiveness.
- The ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, organization, and deadlines.
- A proficiency with Microsoft Office products and tools.
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to operate computer for most of workday with appropriate rest periods.
- The ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel.
- A willingness and ability to work outdoor events in varied weather conditions, traverse varied terrain, and lift and carry bulky and sometimes heavy materials and supplies.
- A valid Driver's license and driving record which meets HITWG insurance carrier requirements. Ability to travel to assigned worksites.
