Since 2003, the Discover Card Treehouse has been a beloved symbol of the spirit of childhood and the world of possibilities that Camp has to offer. Unfortunately, the Treehouse has not been open in the last few years due to safety concerns related to the movement of the trees that support the structure and its rampways.
After careful consideration of all the available options, we have made the difficult decision to remove the Treehouse and plan to build a new accessible play structure at Camp that will carry on the same whimsical tradition of wonder for our children and their families.
While we are sad to see the Treehouse go, we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months and are excited to introduce a brand-new program area that will allow our Founder Paul Newman’s dream of “a different kind of healing” to continue on in new ways, with many more beautiful memories to be made.
