AngelRide Cyclists Cross Connecticut for Paul Newman’s Camp
More than 350 cyclists Ride to Raise Funds for the Camp’s Hospital Outreach Program to Seriously Ill Children in Hospitals across the Northeast
New Haven, Conn. – May 21, 2012 – This Memorial Day weekend May 26 to May 27, hundreds of cyclists from hard-core athletes to seven-year-olds will ride in the 9th annual AngelRide across Connecticut to support seriously ill hospitalized children through The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The ride starts in Norfolk in Connecticut’s northwest corner on Saturday, May 26, overnights in Ashford at the legendary camp Paul Newman founded for children with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other life-threatening illnesses, and resumes Sunday, May 27 to the finish in the historic coastal village of Mystic. Each AngelRider commits to raising funds to benefit the Camp’s Hospital Outreach Program that brings hope and healing to children with serious illnesses in hospitals across the northeast. More than 50 children will take part in the Youth Ride on the second day from Jewett City to Mystic.
