David MacNiven Named Director of Team Hole in the Wall

New Haven, CT - December 21, 2011 - The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the first in a family of camps for seriously ill children started by Paul Newman, announced the appointment of David MacNiven as the Director of Team Hole in the Wall, overseeing the team’s fundraising, marketing and participant outreach effective immediately.

“David has been instrumental in the vision and execution of Team Hole in the Wall’s marketing strategy and outreach,” said Ken Alberti, Director of Development for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. “Through the team, the Camp seeks to empower community fundraisers who participate in athletic events or create their own events and raise funds in support of our campers. I can think of no one better suited to build upon Team Hole in the Wall’s exemplary growth.

Prior to joining Team Hole in the Wall, MacNiven served as Leadership Annual Giving Officer for the Yale Alumni Fund at Yale University, and as Team Fox Officer at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research where he was instrumental in the redesign of the Team Fox brand and web site. He brings a wealth of marketing, communications and fundraising experience to his new position, including experience as an actor and writer.

MacNiven is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University. He and his wife Marcia have two sons and live in Hamden, Conn.
