Leaders in Training
The Leaders in Training (LIT) Program is an opportunity for former campers between the ages of 17-18. Participants in the LIT Program come back to Camp and participate in leadership workshops and receive one-on-one mentoring while also working with current campers.
I had the opportunity to be an LIT and LIT 2, which although greatly different from attending as a camper, was an incredible experience. I learned how much work goes into making camp such a magical place, but it was also one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Knowing that younger campers could look up to me as an influence regardless of my illness was so powerful, and gave me the energy and motivation to dance around the dining hall or yell our unit’s cheers just a little louder.

LITs often say they find satisfaction in giving back to Camp.
