It’s rare that I get the opportunity to spend time with adults in similar situations as mine. Being the parent of a kid with a chronic illness can feel very isolating…especially when you are a single parent. You don’t always know if you are doing the right thing…or if you’re the only one who feels this way. I went to the event thinking it was just for Hunter – but it was helpful for me as well…very validating.
