Beyond the Gates
The healing power of Camp extends beyond the gates of our physical locations into the homes and hometowns of campers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Outreach programs occur year-round in clinics, hospital playrooms and bedsides with the Hospital Outreach Program, in camper communities and homes with CampOut, and through connection and rest for parents and caregivers Parent Programs.
Hospital Outreach Program
The Hospital Outreach Program (HOP)℠ allows us to bring the joy and fun of Camp beyond the Camp grounds to children and families in a hospital setting. For over 20 years, the Hospital Outreach Program has brought “a different kind of healing”® to bedsides, playrooms and outpatient clinic settings at our partner locations.
CampOut
CampOut brings the joy and fun of Camp to campers and their families right in their hometowns. The program helps the magic and connections of Camp continue throughout the year as a team of traveling specialists drive a van filled with Camp-style activities, crafts and games to locations throughout the region, including camper homes and communities.
Parent Programs
Parent Programs bring the healing power and connection of Hole in the Wall to parents and caregivers through year-round opportunities hosted virtually and in-person such as caregiver cabin chats, parent project days and parent retreats held on and offsite.
Camp Answers the Need
From programming in hospitals when campers feel their most isolated and vulnerable to home visits to remind friends of the possibility that can be found in a woodshop project, Camp’s outreach programs continue to provide joy, connection and a safe space to just be kids when children and their families need it most.
