Located in Ashford, Conn., The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp-Connecticut is a playful, kid-sized Old West filled with traditional camp activities adapted so all campers can participate. From the Pool to the Boathouse, from the Horse Barn to the Theater, our Connecticut location is a magical setting for summer and year-round programs.

During six-day on-site Camp sessions for children with serious illnesses aged 7 – 15 and their siblings, Campers participate in traditional camp activities while receiving care from a significant, yet unobtrusive, medical presence
Family Camp
Running in the fall, spring and summer at our facility in Ashford, Family Camp programs continue the healing power of Camp beyond the summer months and create a memorable experience for the entire family. Families share in Camp activities and enjoy the company of other families who understand the challenges they are facing.
Adolescent & Young Adult Programs
Embrace the unknown with a “journey” into adulthood. Camp’s Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) programs, which serve participants aged 16 – 25, provide a variety of exciting challenges and opportunities for self-discovery and growth.
bereavement program
For families who have lost a child aged 0–18 to serious illness, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp offers an overnight bereavement program, where families will find connection and a community of support among others who understand their experiences of loss.

Safety is a Core Value
The care of children with serious illnesses is both a serious responsibility and a serious privilege. Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood.

Accreditation and Evaluation
Safety, love and respect are at the heart of Camp and we work with specialized organizations or accrediting and regulatory organizations to ensure excellent service delivery and adherence to health and camping standards with the following:
- Regular accreditation (every five years) by the American Camp Association
- Annual evaluation by state and local health and fire officials to ensure compliance with mandatory health and safety codes
- Program Impact/Benefit Studies conducted on an annual basis, utilizing camper and parent satisfaction surveys
- The Connecticut Location is also licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood
