Four smiling kids in colorful, paint-splattered shirts stand outside near a green building. Trees and grass are in the background, suggesting a fun outdoor activity or camp event.

Helping Hands Work Days

Activate your employees with a unique and compelling volunteer experience at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. Our corporate partners give praise to this program as a remarkable teambuilding opportunity.

Opportunities in the Infirmary

Camp is grateful to all the medical professionals who volunteer their time and talent in our infirmaries at the Connecticut and Maryland locations. In Connecticut, we’re excited to offer volunteer opportunities for the day!

One Big Family

I see Camp as one big family – the volunteers, the staff, the Camp counselors, the campers, the camper parents – it’s like one big giant community. And it brings me joy to be a part of it, to see the campers with their smiles, and the other volunteers, many of whom have become friends. I love seeing campers who remember me. It’s like seeing old friends every time you come to one of the events.

On-site Overnight Volunteering

At the heart of Camp programming, on-site overnight volunteers infuse new light and laughs into summer and weekend sessions. Discover the upcoming overnight, on-site volunteer opportunity for you and apply on the portal.

Connecticut Location Volunteering

At the heart of Camp programming, onsite volunteers infuse new light and laughs into our programs. In the Spring and Fall, support Family Camp memory-making as a Family Pal during a three-to-four day session. Or join our ‘gang’ in the summer and experience the energetic adventures firsthand as a Cabin Counselor or Journey Counselor for our adolescent and young adult participants. Opportunities are available for ages 18+ and require orientation attendance, medical clearance and successful background check.

Maryland Location Volunteering

Maryland Family Camps welcome the ‘hole’ family to experience the healing power of Camp in a warm, supportive setting. During these on-site programs, each family is paired with a volunteer Family Pal who serves as their guide to exciting activities while the program areas are staffed by day volunteers. Opportunities are available for ages 18+ and require orientation attendance, medical clearance and successful background check.

Medical Team Volunteering

At both our locations, the medical team is the backbone of a safe, joy-filled time at Camp. Join our staff as a volunteer doc, nurse or child life specialist and play an active role in promoting a safe and healthy environment both in the infirmary and across Camp.

become a bandit quilter

You can help give campers the warm welcome they deserve by become a Bandit Quilter and ensuring our beloved tradition of gifting every camper with a quilt continues! These handmade gifts provide Camp magic with cozy nights and a Hole in the Wall memento our Campers treasure.

Six smiling children stand outside holding or wearing colorful quilts. They pose together in front of a purple painted wooden building, each showing off their unique quilt and outfits.
