Connecticut Seasonal Summer Staff

Requirements for all seasonal staff positions

• Must be 18 years old by May 1, 2026*
• Physically and mentally able to facilitate care of Campers
• Be familiar with and enforce all safety, emergency and Camp policies
• Serve as a role model and provide support to Camp volunteers
• The ability to work with a diverse community in a multicultural environment
• Commitment to fostering a community that celebrates inclusivity and our Camp values, which include friendship, inclusion, gratitude, possibility and safety
• Be flexible with the changing needs of the program
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Camp leadership
• Positions are residential and hired for the duration of our summer program. The time commitment is early June to late August and begins with an 8-day residential orientation at Camp

*Select Seasonal Facilities/Kitchen positions available for 16 years old

2026 Summer Schedule

Application Process

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we will consider candidates for video interviews. Staff positions may require several video interviews. All hires will be contingent on positive references, criminal background check, proof that the applicant is legally authorized to work in the United States, and the completion of comprehensive Medical History/Physical Forms. Medical forms will be provided once an applicant has been hired.

Application Deadline

We will continue to process applications until all positions have been filled. We will start making offers after February 1, 2026.

Reference Forms / Letters

Three references are required for NEW applicants; at least one must be a professional reference. References from family/friends or full-time Hole in the Wall staff will NOT be considered.

Two references are required for RETURNING applicants; at least one must be a professional reference. References from family/friends or full-time Hole in the Wall staff will NOT be considered.

Compensation

• Residential salary starts at $5,000; Facilities and Kitchen hourly rate
• Housing and meals provided
• Travel reimbursement of up to $200 available for candidates traveling more than 500 miles to Hole in the Wall
