In Person Opportunities - Overnight Programs

Family Camp 

We are looking for volunteer family pals, program pals, and medical staff to assist in our family weekend programs from March-May. If you would like to apply or register to volunteer for a spring family weekend, Click Here!

Family Pals

Accompany families to program areas, make positive connections, and help build friendships among other families. Each family is assigned a family pal for their weekend at Camp.

Program Pals

Facilitate program areas the families attend including fishing, tower, archery, music, wood shop, cooking, and arts and crafts. Program pals receive training in the area(s) of their choosing.

Medical Staff

Medical staff will support the family arrivals and care throughout the weekend’s activities.

Cabin Counselor

Our Summer Program offers our campers, aged 7-15 years old, an opportunity to make friends, try new things, and experience all that summer camp has to offer. As a Volunteer Cabin Counselor, you are assigned to a cabin for the week and able to share in the experience. Alongside our amazing crew of full and summer staff, you will help supervise your campers, take them around Camp throughout the daily schedule, and have fun!

Journey Counselor

Hero's Journey® 

Our Hero's Journey Program offers our 16-18 -year-old campers an opportunity to gain independence, develop new skills and bond with fellow participants in a wilderness setting. As a Hero's Journey Counselor, you will spend a week in the woods and help our full and summer staff facilitate various program elements.

Champion's Journey

Our Champion’s Journey Program offers our 16-18-year-old campers an opportunity to step outside comfort zones, discover more about themselves and be their own champion, while building community and connection through shared experiences. As a  Champion’s Journey Counselor, you will spend a week in the Young Adult Lodge and help our full and summer staff facilitate various program elements.

Junior Staff

Former campers aged 17-18 who have completed their Journey Year are eligible to apply for a Junior Staff position at Camp. Junior Staff Counselors will spend a week in the Young Adult Lodge with the participants and help our full and summer staff facilitate various program elements.

Medical Volunteer

The team provides routine and acute care to our campers. We need licensed and experienced child life specialists, physicians, and nurses.  Specialists and general medicine practitioners, who can share their expertise to create a safe and fun environment, are welcome!  

In Person Opportunities - CampOut

June 13 - Science Saturday (10:30am - 2pm)

Hartford

Volunteer to support CampOut’s Science Saturday Event by enjoying a day of science fun and learning. Volunteers will help support staff with check-in, activity facilitation and by fostering camaraderie between Camp families. Volunteers must have previous experience in Camp's Summer, Weekend or Fun Day programs, or have attended an Outreach Orientation. Register Here!

Virtual Opportunities - CampOut

June 3 - Monthly Virtual Campfire (5:30pm-8:00pm)

Volunteer to support CampOut's Virtual Campfire, where we'll work with Camp families to create a night of fun and joy. Volunteers will help support staff in breakout rooms, with chat moderation and by fostering camaraderie between Camp families. Volunteers must have previous experience volunteering at a Camp Program and attended a Virtual Volunteer Orientation. Register Here!

Development Opportunities 

June 6 & 7 - Fairfield Road Races (various shifts)

Fairfield, CT

The historic Fairfield Road Races wind through gorgeous Fairfield County back roads finishing with live music at Jennings Beach. Come help support our awesome runners as they fund-raise for Camp! Volunteer opportunities include helping support Camp's info tent at the start/finish line on both days. Opportunities for all ages! Register Here! (Filled at this time, waitlist only)

June 24-28 - Travelers Championship (various shifts)

Cromwell, CT

As one of the charity beneficiaries of the Travelers Championship, Camp staffs a family-friendly activity tent in the FanZone and provides Gallery Management Ambassadors (formerly called Hole Marshals) on Hole 18. Full day opportunities for the Gallery Management Ambassadors (GMA) and half day opportunities for the FanZone are available each day. All of the volunteer opportunities are for ages 16 and older. To find out more and register, follow this link!
