Not So Snooty Beer, Wine and Cheese Tasting Adventure to Benefit Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp

Sell–out event now in its eighth year

NEW HAVEN, CONN., OCT 18, 2012 – The eighth annual Not-So-Snooty Beer, Wine & Cheese Tasting Adventure will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the New England Air Museum at 36 Perimeter Road, Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp announced today. Participants can explore the products of local breweries, wineries and cheese-making concerns, while sampling delicious hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds benefit the seriously ill campers of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

“If you love the Connecticut River Valley,” said Kathy Maznicki, Event Co-chair, “it just doesn’t get any better. We’ve hosted the event for the past eight years and it is consistently sold out in advance.” Ticket holders will enjoy a wide variety of beers and wines produced in Connecticut and sample cheeses and other delicacies from Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont, while listening to the music of the Screamin’ Eagles, Pratt & Whitney’s celebrated jazz combo.

“The New England Air Museum is really a remarkable space in which to hold this event,” said Deb Donahue, Event Co-chair. “Imagine holding a party in a place where everyone can walk right up to actual antique airplanes. The food and drink are great, but the best part is supporting the seriously ill campers at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp founded by Paul Newman.”

The eighth annual Not-So-Snooty Beer, Wine & Cheese Tasting Adventure is hosted by Bradley Family Day, Inc., a nonprofit group of volunteers whose work is centered in and around Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. This all-volunteer organization has been raising funds for its charity of choice The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for 20 years. Tickets are available in advance by contacting Kathy Maznicki at 860-466-9382 (kmaznick@travelers.com) or Deb Donahue, event co-chair 860-627-3116 deb.donahue@theparadiesshops.com).

“We are deeply grateful for the dedicated Bradley Family Day volunteers and their work to support our campers,” said Hole in the Wall Gang Camp CEO Jimmy Canton. “The Not-So-Snooty event is a win-win for all — promising plenty of fun for attendees and raising funds that truly make a difference in the lives of the precious children we serve.”
