Past COVID-19 Update

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp’s executive team and medical director are monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation closely and are in regular contact with medical and public health experts. With safety as our first core value and at the heart of all that we do, we will continue to make organizational decisions that ensure the well-being of those that we are privileged to serve and our staff community.

Given these considerations, we have decided to cancel the first two Family Weekends of the spring season scheduled for March 27-29 and April 3-5. Our plan going forward will be to make such scheduling decisions at least two weeks prior to each Family Weekend and communicate with families and volunteers accordingly. At this time, no decisions have been made concerning the summer program.

In addition, all CampOut programming, Parent Programs and Helping Hands Workdays scheduled through April 7th are also canceled. As we continue to monitor the situation, we will be evaluating how best to proceed with scheduling future programming.

With regard to Hospital Outreach, Hole in the Wall is suspending HOP programming in all regions through April 7th. This decision was made to ensure the safety of those that we serve and our staff as well as to help conserve essential hospital supplies.

The upcoming Beantown Bash, scheduled for April 4th in Boston, has also been cancelled. Camp’s Special Events team will be in touch with those who have purchased sponsorships and tickets for the event.

In terms of Hole in the Wall staff, any work-related, long-distance trips as well as conferences and larger group meetings have been suspended until further notice. While our offices remain open, we are encouraging all staff who are able to work from home to do so and ask that they take the necessary steps to ensure their safety and the safety of those around them.
