Sharon Space, M.D.
Sharon Space, M.D. is the Medical Director for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a position she has held since 2005.
She is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine (1991) and completed a residency in pediatrics at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York (1991-1995). From 1996 to 2000, she completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was the director of pediatric hematology at Boston Medical Center from 2000 to 2003.
She originally came to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in 1989 as a summer counselor shortly after the Camp opened. She was a volunteer counselor from 1990 to 1992, and medical volunteer from 1995 to 2002. Prior to joining the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp as full-time medical director, she served as the Camp doctor in 2003 and as medical director at Victory Junction, another camp in the SeriousFun Children's Network, in 2004.
